Melbourne Wedding Photography
Natural, documentary wedding photography capturing love stories across Melbourne
For couples who want honest moments, beautifully captured
Trusted Melbourne Wedding Photographer for Real Moments
As Melbourne wedding photographers, we document your day as it actually unfolds — quietly, honestly, and without interrupting the moments that matter most.
Melbourne weddings have their own rhythm, and our local team knows it. Different venues, different light, different energy depending on whether you are in the hills or two blocks from the water. Which means on your day, we are not figuring out the setting. We are just focusing on you. We guide when it helps. And when the moment belongs to you, we step back.

Melbourne Wedding Venues We Love Photographing
Melbourne offers an incredible variety of wedding venues. From elegant city spaces to garden estates and coastal locations. Here are a few beautiful venues where we have documented real weddings.
- Showtime Events Centre
Right in the CBD, purpose-built and polished. Showtime handles scale better than most because it is designed for it. Big weddings, lots of movement, high expectations. The room keeps up.
- Sheldon Reception
The garden is a place to slow down and couples who come in stressed tend to exhale before they realise they are doing it. The interiors are elegant but not precious so weddings here are unforgettable.
- Tucks Winery Red Hill
Out on the Mornington Peninsula, with vines in every direction, it matches the rustic setting. Tucks does not feel like it is trying to be anything. It just works.
- Yarra Valley Estate
Rolling hills and open-air terraces with that soft Yarra Valley countryside light. Breathtaking is a word that gets used too freely, but here it applies. The estate is genuinely stunning.
- The Birmingham Hotel
Casual. But intentional-casual, which is harder to pull off. The terrace light is generous, the bay is right there, and couples who book it usually know exactly who they are.
- The Prince Deck St Kilda
Art Deco bones, a timber deck on the third floor, and the bay on one side with the Melbourne skyline on the other. The Prince Deck has something for every couple, and multiple backdrops to make your photos unique.
- River's Edge Events
All glass, all light, right on the water. River's Edge is stunning from almost every angle. We focus on the moments, not the architecture. The architecture handles itself.
- The Continental Hotel Sorrento
Steps from the coast, with the kind of heritage character that cannot be replicated. The Continental feels grand without being formal about it.
- Nathania Springs
European-style mansion in the Dandenong Ranges. Intimate, green, off the grid in a way you can feel.
- Poodle Bar and Bistro
St Kilda's most stylish boutique venue, and it knows it. Poodle suits couples who want somewhere that matches who they actually are, rather than what a wedding is supposed to look like.
- Encore St Kilda Beach
Beachfront and sun-soaked, Encore works well when the day is meant to feel easy. The sand and bay views do a lot of the visual work while the celebration just gets on with itself.
- Vogue Ballroom
A lavish, chandelier-lit ballroom dripping in old Hollywood glamour. Great for couples who want their wedding night to feel like a movie.
Why Melbourne Couples Choose Perfect Moment
01 · Natural, never overly posed
We give you enough guidance so you feel comfortable, then we back away. Melbourne couples don't want stiff portraits, and neither do we.
02 · Calm and unobtrusive presence
Weddings have enough people pulling you in different directions. We are not another one. We work around the day rather than over it.
03 · Emotion over performance
Real connection. Family reactions. Laughter. Anxiety. Silence. We’re there to capture the moments that people are living, the moments that no one is acting.
04 · Experienced storytelling
Weddings go fast. The light changes, the timelines shift, and we're there for all of it. We’ve shot everything from rooftop receptions in the CBD to winery ceremonies out on the Peninsula, so if the day doesn’t go to plan, we know what to do.

Perfect Moment captured some stunning shots for our Wedding Day. Our photographer Ben and videographer Scott were great fun on the day, made us feel comfortable and the photos and videos turned out stunning! They really are very high quality and great value for the package we chose which was completely customisable! Our gallery came back just 3 weeks after our wedding which was amazing timing. The highlight video they produced for us was so magical and so many family and friends loved it. I can't tell you how many times I've watched it! It summed up our day perfectly! Thank you Perfect Moment Photography and Video!

We had Ben as our photographer from Perfect Moment. He had some challenging conditions to work with but he took the most amazing photos. He was flexible to work with but also to help suggest how to get the best shots. Very happy, 10/10 service. Thank you Ben and Jeffrey!

Got Questions About Your Big Day?
How much does a Melbourne wedding photographer cost?
Our prices are from $1550-2650. It depends on what the day actually is. Send us a message and let’s chat about your wedding goals, and we’ll give you a quote.
Do you photograph weddings outside Melbourne?
Yes. Our Melbourne team covers the city, the coast, wine regions, garden venues, and anywhere else a good wedding happens to land. We also photograph Sydney weddings, but honestly? We’re happy to travel where your wedding takes us. Just give us a call to see if we can actually make it.
Do you photograph multicultural weddings in Melbourne?
Yes, and it’s one of our favourite things to do. When two cultures meet to create a completely unique wedding? Those are the weddings we never forget.
Do you photograph elopements or small weddings in Melbourne?
Yes. Elopements, registry ceremonies, small intimate celebrations — they all get the same care as a full-day wedding. They just move faster.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
Then we adjust. Rain may shift where portraits happen or when, but it doesn’t have to change the feel of the day. We work with the venue, the light, and whatever makes sense.
Do you help couples who feel awkward in front of the camera?
Yes. And honestly, the couples who say this upfront are usually easier to photograph than they think. We give enough direction to help, and then we get out of the way so you don’t feel awkward.
How long does it take to receive the photos?
No vague mystery windows here, our photos are ready within 2-3 weeks, and videos within 4 weeks. Just in time to enjoy your photos after the Honeymoon.
Still unsure if we’re the right fit?
The easiest way to start is simply to send us a message. Tell us a little about your day, and we’ll take it from there.
